Application process

You can apply for project funding by sending a narrative description of the project, budget, recent annual report and proof of registration by e-mail to info@serra.foundation

Once we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation by e-mail. We will then discuss your application at the next board meeting. We will communicate the decision to you by e-mail afterwards.

In order for your application to be considered, you must meet the eligibility criteria. Read them under the ‘eligibility criteria’ tab on this page.

Eligibility criteria

The application should meet the following criteria:

The application fits with (one of) the following themes: increasing social participation of vulnerable groups, strengthening social cohesion in society and/or addressing stigmatisation/taboos that hinders the inclusion of vulnerable groups;
Young adults and/or adults are the target group of the application;
The project application targets groups of people, instead of individuals;
The proposed project is inclusive (and therefore does not exclude people on the basis of religion, race or ethnicity or sexual orientation);
The application is submitted by a non-profit organisation, an association (NGO or civil society organisation) or a social initiative with a legal entity;
The requested contribution from the foundation is realistic, and essential to the success of the project;
The requested contribution is one-off or multi-annual, with a maximum of three years;
The requested contribution ranges from 5-20k.

The application is not eligible if the application:

Seeks financial contribution for the construction of buildings (e.g. schools and hospitals);
Seeks support for individuals and/or health treatment;
Excludes people on the basis of religion, race or ethnicity or sexual orientation.
